Raised Double Crochet Technique
This technique uses the linen (moss) stitch pattern as a base, with some of the single crochet stitches replaced by raised double crochet (Rdc) stitches. This allows for the creation of a variety of effects, from subtle textures to bold lines or striking colorwork.
Raised double crochet stitch is a regular double crochet stitch, just worked into an unusual place. It is always worked on RS rows and in stitches two rows below. Depending on their placement, Rdc stitches can be vertical or angled diagonally to the left or right.
