Replay shawl is worked in a stitch pattern that creates a highly textured fabric, while remaining incredibly soft, stretchy, squishy, and pleasant to touch. The stitch pattern itself, with all the increases and decreases, is easy to memorize and very engaging. Like a favorite song, these ask to be repeated again and again. For me, this resulted in three samples in different sizes and colors. The colors I chose - and the stitch pattern itself - also echo the repeating natural motifs of wheat ears, lavender flowers, and fir twigs.
CONSTRUCTION
The shawl starts at one side corner and grows toward the center (bottom corner). Decreases are then worked to shape it toward the opposite corner.
You can easily adjust the shawl to your liking: continue in the stitch pattern until you reach your desired depth and width, then move on to the decreases.

Hook: U.S. G/7 (4.5 mm)

TECHNIQUE
The colorwork stitch pattern is based on the linen (moss) stitch, with some sc replaced by specific textured stitch: raised double crochet (you can find it in my Leaf shawls and tops series, In Three Ways collection, and in Chapter 2 of the New Ways with Crochet book).
