YARDAGE & COLORWAYS
The scarves are worked with one strand of Silkpaca held together with one strand of Mohair. Each option is designed to make the most of the yarn.
Pointed-end scarf: 1 skein of Silkpaca in Frank Ochre and 2 skeins of Mohair in Tigers Eye
Straight-end scarf: 2 skeins of Silkpaca in Azules and 4 skeins of Mohair in Under the Sea
You can use any yarn you like for this design (for example, the Replay shawls are worked in 100% merino wool, Malabrigo Arroyo, sport weight). However, holding mohair together with a thin laceweight yarn works especially well with this stitch pattern and creates an airy, very soft, and fluffy fabric. ◍•ᴗ•◍
GAUGE FOR SWATCH
22 sts and 20 rows = 4″ (10 cm) worked in linen st patt only.
An exact gauge is not crucial for this design.
FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Pointed-end scarf: 4¾’’ (12 cm) wide and 69’’ (175 cm) long
Straight-end scarf: 7½’’ (19.5 cm) wide and 82¼’’ (209 cm) long
You can adjust the length of either option by working more row-PRs, and you can adjust the width as well.
For the straight-end scarf, simply add as many st patt repeats as you like by working an extra 8 sts for each additional PR.
For the pointed-end scarf, please see the additional modification notes in the instructions.
