Syringa shawl was originally published in Crochet Now magazine, Issue 8. This pattern has been tweaked a little, updated, and now uses U.S. crochet terminology.

MATERIALS
• Yarn: WYS Signature 4 Ply, 75% wool, 25% nylon, approx. 400 m / 437 yd per 100 g ball – 3 balls in Pennyroyal 530
• Hook: US D (3.25 mm)
• Yarn needle for finishing

GAUGE
• 22 sts x 10 rows = 4" (10 cm) measured over dc

An exact gauge is not crucial for this design.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
• Wingspan: 82" (208 cm)
• Height at center: 31½" (80 cm)
• Size can be adjusted by working more or fewer pattern repeats


The shawl features no obvious right or wrong side. A special option to make it as a rectangular scarf or stole is also included.
