Moonflower

Sale Price: €6.00 Original Price: €8.00

I continue exploring crochet cables, this time in a simple, lovely way. This technique appears in Chapter 5 of the New Ways with Crochet book and in my Crochet Cables series.

The Moonflower wrap is an easy and relaxing way to explore crochet cables. Its simple cable pattern and short rows forms a beautiful textured border that grows as you work. The pattern uses only the simplest stitches: single crochet (and its variations) and chains.

The wrap’s size is easily adjustable: you can make a small capelet to cover your shoulders or a long scarf-like version.

CONSTRUCTION
The Moonflower is a long, narrow, scarf-like wrap with a gentle, slightly rounded shape.

It is worked in two stages. The large cable border is worked sideways first. At this stage you can easily adjust the shawl’s size by working fewer or more cable sections.

Then, the body is worked along the upper edge of the border.
