This pattern begins with a detailed explanation of the stitch pattern itself, including written instructions, a chart and a step-by-step photo tutorial. You can use these instructions for any rectangular project (blankets, scarves, etc.).
In addition to the stitch instructions, the pattern includes two shawl designs:
a single shawl worked from the center of the wingspan down in a comfortable boomerang shape
and a wrap made by joining two smaller shawls worked in reversed color placement.

TECHNIQUE
The colorwork stitch pattern is based on the linen (moss) stitch, with some sc replaced by specific stitch.
The first colorwork pattern in this technique, the Linen Hearts, is written for working in the round and also includes the stitch pattern instructions, suitable for making anything rectangular.
I create new crochet stitches to show a quieter, softer side of crochet: calm, simple, and casual. My patterns may look unusual at first only because the technique is new to you, just like your first chain or single crochet once was. After a little practice, it feels easy and natural.
