This is my favorite set-up method, and I use it for almost all of my sweaters and cowls worked in the round.

It is easy and quick to make, gives a perfectly polished start, and is also quite elastic!

I have plenty of projects on my hook, all at different stages, starting from nothing more than a bare idea. The challenge is that many of them require endless swatching, calculations, trying things out, and starting over.⁠ At the end of these working sessions, I often have nothing to show.⁠

There is a stitch which I think is the most underestimated in crochet - the Lover’s Knot (also known as the Love Knot or Solomon’s Knot). It exists mainly in one form: a kind of mesh created by elongated loops.
