My spring crochet routine is almost over! I only have a couple of things left to finish before I refresh it and start from a blank page.

And today I want to share a very unexpected project (the idea and its realization took me about 15 minutes), which I am so excited about!

I made two samples of the Make a Wish shawl for its release, and I usually wore them together. But one day I placed them on the floor and thought that together they could become a single, large wrap - much easier for me to wear!

I frogged two edging rows on the yellow sample and worked one new row, this time joining it to the wingspan of the grey sample.

The new shape is a trapezoid, very comfortable, and all sections of the shawl (both solid and colorwork parts) are visible when worn, creating such a beautiful look!

I plan to do the same with two of my Faded Leaf shawls. I joined them with markers along one side and the wingspan to see how it will look once joined:

Maybe this will inspire you to give new life to your own projects!

Not necessarily of the same design; you could try combining two lace shawls, or joining two smaller cowls into a larger one. ◍⁠•⁠ᴗ⁠•⁠◍
